Little Yellow Table and a Farm Party

I went to Kauai this weekend for Cailin's son Jed's 2nd birthday party. I also hadn't been there in a year and a half, so it was time to see our family and friends!!

On the last day, I didn't have anything I was dying to do, so I asked Cailin if she wanted me to paint an end table she'd had for while, which she wanted done in yellow.

Isn't it cute?

It was done in "Cheery Yellow" from ACE Hardware. I did it just hours before hopping on a plane back to Maui, so I have yet to see it in the house.

Here's some shots from Jed's Farm-themed Birthday Party:

Jed and Ivy playing with a guinea pig.

Ivy with her tutu.

They had a pony for the kids to ride!!! Ivy's first time on a horse, I think!

Awesome mason jar cups and Jed's party favors: Apples with homemade caramel, brown sugar and cream cheese dip. It was sooooooo good. I ate the dip leftovers for a few days afterward.

I had to get a shot of Jed's overalls. I sat there and watched his dad use a piece of tape on the back of the straps to make them fit him better. True farmer, right there.

 Cailin's fun game:
Hide a bunch of farm animals in a bunch of hay. Whoever finds the most, wins! We played boys and against girls.

Cailin's specialty: CUPCAKES!
These are white with chopped strawberries inside. Cailin could have described that a lot better. Oh, and cream cheese frosting.

I made the bandana/table cloth bunting to go along with the decor. Some of the table cloths were sent to her from her mom in Minnesota!

She even had a little "photo booth" area.

Three friends! Becky, Cailin and I. Oh, and Becky's daughter. She fell asleep, so she needed to be in the pic.

I was in charge of washing these two while the party winded down.

Fun weekend with friends and family! And even a painting project in the midst!

Aloha, Rebecca
